About
2005-06: Driving duties for the start of the inaugural season of A1 Grand prix were shared by Khalil Beschir and Basil Shaaban. They failed to impress and did not get a single top ten finish in the first 8 rounds. From round 9 Graham Rahal took over the racing seat. Graham, the son of form Indianapolis 500 winner and Champ Car champion Bobby Rahal, is American with lebanese heritage. Graham drove the final three rounds of the season but did not manage to get a top ten finish either. The team finished the season unclassified in the championship with 0 points.
2006-07: Driving duties were shared over 5 drivers for the second season. Basil Shaaban returned to kick off the season with Graham Rahal taking over fromt he second round at Brno. Graham then signed a contract to race in Champ Car and thus left the team and seires. Basil and Khalil Beschir returned for a few rounds but still the team was without a top ten finish. Alex Khateeb stepped in to the car for two rounds also unsuccessfully before Allam Khodair took over for the last 4 rounds. Again he failed to get a top ten finish and the team finished their second season in a row unclassified with 0 points.
2007-08: The team started off the season with Chris Alajajian driving in Zandvoort. Alajajian is an Australian born driver with Lebanese heritage. At Zandvoort he finished 14th in the sprint race and 19th in the feature. With commitments elsewhere Alajajian couldn't take part in the race at Brno and was replaced by Khalil Beschir who finished 20th and 21st in the two races but called on the team to decided on one driver and stick with him as it was the only way he saw the teams results improving. At round 3 in Sepang, Malaysia Alajajian was back in the car and finished outside of the points in both races. He continued in the race seat for three more rounds but in all six races he failed to score a point. For the race on the streets of Durban Beaschir returned to driving duties finishing 19th in the sprint race and 13th in the feature. Jimmy Auby got a chance to race int he Mexican and Shanghai rounds but failed to score points. The season finale was at Brands Hatch and Beschir was given the driving duties finishing 22nd and 18th. For the thiurd season in a row Lebanon had failed to score a championship point and were not classified in final standings.
